Type 05

Spark

You make the first move feel doable.

The Spark pattern

Sparks notice when a conversation has enough energy to become action. You are often willing to make the first call, offer the first idea, or begin before every detail has found its place.

That initiative can change the emotional weight of a task. Once someone moves, a group that felt hesitant may discover it was more ready than it thought.

Strengths in practice

Starting the motion

You reduce the distance between intention and action by taking a visible first step.

Reading available energy

You can sense when an idea has enough support to try, even if the group has not formally announced that it is ready.

Making participation easier

Your willingness to begin gives other people something to join, improve, or respond to.

What can get in the way

Momentum can outrun agreement. People may follow the energy of a start without sharing the same goal, expectations, or appetite for risk.

Starting is visible and rewarding; maintaining the work is quieter. Make sure ownership survives after the first burst of movement.

Working well together

Give a Spark a clear outcome and room to initiate. Pair the first move with a short checkpoint so speed does not replace coordination.

If you are a Spark, ask who is choosing to come with you and who needs more context. Movement is stronger when participation is explicit.

Questions worth asking

  1. What first move would make the next step easier?
  2. Do we share the same destination, or only the same excitement?
  3. Who will carry this after the initial push?
