Cookie and Storage Policy

1. Scope

This policy explains how B5Tools.ly uses cookies and browser storage on the platform. A WordPress operator controls storage used on its own site and is responsible for its visitor notice and consent choices.

2. Strictly necessary cookies

B5Tools uses cookies needed for authentication, account sessions, security, dashboard access, and checkout return flows. These cookies allow the requested account and billing features to work. Blocking them may prevent sign-in or dashboard functions.

3. Preference storage

The platform stores the selected light or dark theme in the browser under the key b5-theme. This preference does not identify you outside B5Tools and can be removed through browser storage controls.

The platform stores your privacy selection under the key b5-privacy-preferences. This prevents us from asking on every visit and records whether browser-side analytics are allowed. It contains the selection, policy version, and date saved; it does not contain an account or visitor identifier.

4. Vercel Web Analytics

B5Tools loads Vercel Web Analytics in production, but browser-side analytics events are cancelled unless you allow anonymous analytics in the privacy choices control. Vercel states that this service does not use third-party analytics cookies. It creates a hash from the incoming request to calculate aggregated visits and discards the visitor-session identifier after 24 hours. Reports may include page, referrer, country or region, browser, operating system, and device category, but are not presented to B5Tools as an identifiable visitor profile.

We remove query strings and fragments before analytics URLs are sent. Browser-side analytics can be allowed or disabled at any time through the floating privacy control. Aggregate operational events generated on the server do not access your device and exclude email addresses, API keys, Stripe identifiers, connected-site domains, and assessment answers. If we introduce marketing technology or more intrusive analytics, we will update this policy and request consent where required.

5. Payment and sign-in providers

Stripe or Link may use cookies and similar technologies when you open checkout, billing, or transaction-support pages. Google may use them when you choose Google sign-in. Those pages are operated under the provider's own privacy and cookie terms.

6. WordPress plugin storage

Depending on settings chosen by the site owner, the B5Tools WordPress plugin may store assessment progress, a recent result, display preferences, or consent state in a visitor's browser. It may also store settings, saved result summaries, analytics, lead records, and integration logs in the WordPress database. The WordPress operator controls that storage and must explain it to visitors where required.

7. Your controls

Use the floating privacy control to allow or disable anonymous browser analytics at any time. Browser settings can also display, block, or delete cookies and local storage. Blocking necessary storage may stop account features from working. Questions can be sent to hello@b5tools.ly.
